Mark S. Luckie
Mark S. Luckie is a digital strategist, career journalist and author of The Digital Journalist's Handbook and the novel DO U. Mark has led digital initiatives for the Washington Post, the Center for Investigative Reporting, The L.A. Times and Entertainment Weekly and is the former Manager of Journalism and News at Twitter. Mark is a GLAAD Media Award nominee, a Lambda Literary Award finalist and a part of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize finalist team for Local Reporting. He was named by The Root as one of the most influential African-Americans of 2013 and 2014. Mark is a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University and the University of California, Berkeley where he received his master's degree in journalism.
Maurice is a former urban education and nonprofit leader turned techie with a distinct passion for community engagement and outreach. He recently joined the team at Outco Inc., a full stack career services company for software engineers, where he leads Outreach and Relationship Management. Prior to his position at Outco, he served as the Director of Outreach for Minority Serving Institutions at ZeeMee. Maurice is also a former leader at LearnServe International, a social entrepreneurship program for high school students and co-founder of the Shakur-Roberson Leadership Project, which aimed to empower young men of color in Washington D.C. Maurice is a first generation college graduate from Morehouse College, where he studied Africana Studies and Political Science.
AJ is the host of the hit podcast/radio show “Black Voice” on KGPC 96.9 FM. She is also an executive member of the Bay Area-based artist collective called BLKMGK. The group uses eclectic scene, sound, color and movement to construct narratives and unite audiences. AJ is a current Media Studies and Public Policy major at the University of California, Berkeley. Her passions include media, social justice and the arts.
Tiffani is the Executive Assistant to the CEO of SouledOut Cinema. She is is a former substance abuse counselor and proprietor of Thoughtful Touches by Tiffani, an event planning firm that specializes in corporate and boutique events. Tiffani is also an accomplished editor of titles such as “Secrets to Keep” and Lambda Literary Award nominee “Do U”. Tiffani is currently a psychology major at University of North Florida.
